The Captain's Best Friend Collection

If you have been around for even a little while then you know the Captain is a huge lover of all things with wagging tails! After years of custom orders, requests and trying out dozens of different designs, we're barking with excitement to announce the Captain's Best Friend Collection!

To start off, we knew we needed a solid collar, because that's something all dogs need! Taking premium Horween and Wicket & Craig leathers, the Captain has made a collar that is strong, comfy for your Best Friend, custom dyed to match your EDC, has some pirate-y detail goodness and features solid brass and stainless steel hardware (depending on your color choice). For most dogs, this will be the only collar you need. Available in a range of sizes (including custom sizing), please note the color you would like your collar to be when you order. If no color is specified we will make it au naturally gorgeous and we know you'll love it!

We also knew that we needed to make a solid Martingale collar, because our bully's heads can slip right out of a normal collar (and so can a lot of other breeds too)! So we wanted to make a no-nonsense, straightforward Martingale collar with killer hardware that will stand up to whatever your rambunctious pup can throw at it! Using only the highest quality Horween and Hermann Oak leathers and combining them with the strongest Japanese-made solid brass and stainless steel hardware we could find, we designed a Martingale collar that looks as beautiful as it is strong. Tested for months with the Captain's Old English Bulldog, Ripley (the OG Pirate Princess), who can pull stronger than most Ford trucks! The Black Flag Martingale collar will give your Best Friend a comfortable piece of neck-swag while you'll get peace of mind knowing that they're securely by your side, even if there's a squirrel. Please note the color you'd like when you place your order or, if no color is stated, the Captain will make the choice for ye!

Next up is something that some pups just simply need to help protect them, as well as others. The Black Flag No-Bite Muzzle is the perfect way to keep your Best Friend safe during those high-stress moments, like visits to a certain V E T that you know if you say the actual word they will freak out! In the Captain's life he's had a handful of furry companions that, for one reason or another, needed a muzzle. For his old buddy, Buttkiss, he had severe separation anxiety and a muzzle kept him calm when the Captain had to leave for the open sea during the day. Or for his current pal, Sweet Chuck, who needs a muzzle to not unleash the fury on the dreaded vet or even the Captain when a toe bean trim is in order lol! Whatever the reason, sometimes our pups just need a muzzle and the No-Bite muzzle has been designed for comfort, safety and ease of use. The leather is extremely strong Wicket & Craig or Horween vegetable tanned leather that is combined with solid brass and stainless steel hardware. The Captain takes the time to round all the edged of the leather for increased comfort and the full-snout design means there's zero chance of an accident. As your doggo wears the muzzle, the leather warms and, thanks to the dog's natural skin oils, becomes softer and naturally will patina and look even better. Due to the nature of muzzle sizing, we have decided to make them all custom, so that your Best Friend has the best fit possible! Once your order is placed we will email you to get the details for proper fit! IMPORTANT: due to the nature of their faces, brachycephalic dog breeds are not suitable for a leather muzzle! We highly suggest a soft, mesh muzzle for those types so as to not risk injury to their eyes.

Last, but definitely not least, is the last leash you'll ever need: The Plank Walker! After doing tons of research about the strongest leathers for leashes, the Captain has chosen genuine Horween Latigo leather. Renowned by ranchers for its strength, this leather is commonly used as straps for horses saddles and leads. After a year of testing and refining the design, the Captain was happy. A length of 48" was chosen after much debate and consideration as this length allows enough distance for safe walking, but not so much length that you can't quickly reign in your buddy in the case of an emergency or in situations where you need to keep them closer to you. Using solid brass hardware and reinforcing high stress points, the Plank Walker is designed to last a lifetime. As Latigo leather only comes in one color and is undye-able, all Plank Walker leashes come in a deep burgundy-brown that looks absolutely luxurious and will patina to almost a black in time.
